Our Commitment
Afghan Geeks Education is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students and instructors. This Code of Conduct establishes the professional and ethical standards expected of all Platform users.
Violations of this Code may result in account suspension, termination, or other disciplinary actions.
SECTION 1: UNIVERSAL STANDARDS (All Users)
1.1 Respect and Inclusion
All users must:
- Treat others with dignity, kindness, and respect
- Use professional and appropriate language in all communications
- Respect diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and identities
- Refrain from harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
- Create a welcoming environment for learners of all skill levels
Prohibited behaviors:
- Discriminatory comments based on gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Sexual harassment or unwelcome advances
- Threats, intimidation, or abusive language
- Trolling, personal attacks, or derogatory remarks
- Sharing inappropriate or offensive content
1.2 Academic Integrity
All users must:
- Submit original work and properly attribute sources
- Not plagiarize, cheat, or engage in academic dishonesty
- Not share answers to graded assignments with others
- Report suspected violations of academic integrity
For assignments and projects:
- Collaboration is encouraged where explicitly permitted
- Individual work must be completed independently
- All external sources, code libraries, and tutorials must be cited
- Use of AI tools must be disclosed when used for assignment completion
1.3 Platform Security
All users must:
- Keep account credentials confidential and secure
- Not share login information with others
- Not attempt to access accounts or data without authorization
- Report security vulnerabilities or suspicious activity immediately to info@afghangeeks.com
- Not upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
Prohibited activities:
- Attempting to hack, exploit, or compromise Platform security
- Scraping or automated data extraction
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Reverse engineering Platform systems
1.4 Appropriate Use of Platform
All users must:
- Use the Platform solely for educational purposes
- Follow instructor guidelines and assignment requirements
- Participate constructively in discussions and forums
- Respect intellectual property rights
Prohibited content:
- Illegal, harmful, or dangerous content
- Content promoting violence, extremism, or hate
- Sexually explicit or inappropriate material
- Spam, advertising, or commercial solicitations
- Content that violates copyright or intellectual property laws
SECTION 2: INSTRUCTOR-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructors hold positions of trust and authority. In addition to the universal standards above, instructors must adhere to the following professional obligations.
2.1 Student Data Protection and Privacy
CRITICAL OBLIGATION:
Instructors have access to sensitive student information including:
- Personal data (names, emails, locations)
- Educational performance (grades, submissions, progress)
- Learning analytics and behavioral data
- Communication records
Instructors MUST:
✓ Protect student privacy at all times
- Never share, disclose, or discuss student data outside the organization
- Never use student data for personal purposes or non-educational activities
- Access student data only when necessary for educational purposes
- Store any downloaded student data securely and delete it when no longer needed
✓ Maintain confidentiality
- Do not discuss individual student performance with unauthorized persons
- Do not share student work publicly without explicit written consent
- Do not use student data in external presentations, publications, or research without proper anonymization and institutional approval
- Keep grade discussions and feedback private between instructor and student
✓ Comply with data protection laws
- Follow GDPR and all applicable data protection regulations
- Understand and respect students' rights to access, correct, and delete their data
- Report any data breaches or unauthorized access immediately to info@afghangeeks.com
- Complete required data protection training
Instructors MUST NOT:
✗ Share student information in personal communications (WhatsApp, Telegram, personal email)
✗ Discuss student performance or behavior with family, friends, or external parties
✗ Post student data or work samples on social media
✗ Use student contact information for non-educational purposes
✗ Access student accounts or data without proper authorization
✗ Take screenshots or export student data to personal devices unless required for grading and approved by administration
Violation of student data privacy is a SERIOUS BREACH and will result in immediate disciplinary action, including termination.
2.2 Professional Conduct and Boundaries
Instructors MUST:
- Maintain professional relationships with students at all times
- Provide fair, objective, and timely grading
- Be available for student support during designated hours
- Respond to student questions within reasonable timeframes (24-48 hours)
- Provide constructive feedback that supports learning
- Model respectful communication and professional behavior
Instructors MUST NOT:
- Engage in romantic or inappropriate personal relationships with students
- Show favoritism or bias in grading or treatment
- Use position of authority for personal benefit
- Share personal political, religious, or controversial views that could create a hostile learning environment
- Retaliate against students for legitimate complaints or feedback
2.3 Course Management and Quality
Instructors MUST:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality educational content
- Keep course materials current and accurate
- Clearly communicate course requirements, expectations, and grading criteria
- Provide timely feedback on assignments (within 7-14 days)
- Be responsive to student questions and concerns
- Maintain regular communication with students about course progress
- Submit grades and progress reports on schedule
Instructors MUST NOT:
- Cancel classes without adequate notice or valid reason
- Fail to provide promised course materials or support
- Change grading criteria or requirements without proper notice
- Use outdated, inaccurate, or inappropriate course materials
2.4 Platform Security (Instructor-Specific)
Instructors MUST:
- Never share instructor account credentials
- Log out of shared or public computers
- Use secure connections when accessing student data
- Report any suspicious activity or security concerns immediately
- Follow organizational policies for file sharing and data transfers
Instructors MUST NOT:
- Access the Platform from insecure networks without VPN
- Download student data to personal or unsecured devices
- Share course materials or assignments with unauthorized external parties
- Grant Platform access to non-authorized individuals
2.5 Ethical Obligations
Instructors MUST:
- Maintain objectivity and fairness in all academic decisions
- Disclose any conflicts of interest (e.g., personal relationships with students)
- Uphold academic integrity and enforce plagiarism policies consistently
- Encourage critical thinking while respecting diverse viewpoints
- Create an inclusive learning environment free from discrimination
Instructors MUST NOT:
- Accept gifts, payments, or favors from students that could create conflicts of interest
- Use their position to promote personal business or external services
- Plagiarize or misrepresent the work of others as their own
- Discriminate against students based on any protected characteristic
SECTION 3: STUDENT-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Engagement and Participation
Students MUST:
- Attend scheduled sessions and participate actively
- Complete assignments by stated deadlines
- Communicate proactively with instructors about challenges or absences
- Engage respectfully in group projects and peer discussions
- Provide constructive feedback when requested
Students MUST NOT:
- Disrupt classes or learning activities
- Submit late work without prior communication or valid reason
- Ignore instructor communications or feedback
3.2 Academic Honesty
Students MUST:
- Complete all work independently unless collaboration is explicitly permitted
- Properly cite all sources, code libraries, and external resources
- Seek clarification from instructors when assignment requirements are unclear
- Report suspected academic dishonesty by peers
Students MUST NOT:
- Copy code, text, or assignments from others without attribution
- Share graded work or answers with other students
- Use unauthorized resources during assessments
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as original work
3.3 Respect for Instructors and Peers
Students MUST:
- Respect instructor authority and professional expertise
- Accept feedback graciously and use it for improvement
- Support and encourage fellow students
- Resolve conflicts through respectful dialogue
Students MUST NOT:
- Argue disrespectfully with instructors over grades or feedback
- Harass or intimidate other students
- Undermine instructor authority in public forums
- Create a hostile learning environment
SECTION 4: REPORTING AND ENFORCEMENT
4.1 Reporting Violations
All users are encouraged to report violations of this Code of Conduct.
How to report:

- Include: Description of incident, date/time, individuals involved, supporting evidence
For urgent safety concerns or serious violations (threats, harassment, data breaches), report immediately.
All reports will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly.
4.2 Investigation Process
When a violation is reported:
- Initial review: Complaint is assessed within 3-5 business days
- Investigation: Facts are gathered from all parties involved
- Decision: Determination made based on evidence and Code of Conduct
- Action: Appropriate disciplinary measures are implemented
- Follow-up: Reporting party is notified of outcome (within confidentiality limits)
4.3 Disciplinary Actions
Depending on severity, violations may result in:
Minor violations (first offense):
- Written warning
- Required retraining or education
- Temporary restrictions on Platform features
Serious violations:
- Suspension from specific courses or Platform access (7-30 days)
- Grade penalties for academic integrity violations
- Mandatory meeting with administration
Severe or repeated violations:
- Permanent account termination
- Removal from all courses
- Reporting to relevant authorities (for illegal activity)
- Legal action (for data breaches, threats, or criminal behavior)
Special note for instructors:
- Student data privacy violations will result in immediate suspension pending investigation
- Confirmed violations may result in termination and legal consequences under GDPR
4.4 Appeals Process
Users may appeal disciplinary decisions by:
- Submitting a written appeal to info@afghangeeks.com within 14 days
- Providing additional evidence or context
- Requesting review by senior administration
Appeal decisions are final.
SECTION 5: ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS
5.1 Amendments
Afghan Geeks Education reserves the right to update this Code of Conduct. Users will be notified of significant changes via email and Platform announcement.
5.2 Acknowledgment
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
